Meritxell Joan Rodríguez is project manager for the doctoral network "Understanding Latin American Challenges in the 21st Century" (LAC-EU), coordinated by IBEI and financed by the European Commission.

She holds a PhD in Linguistic, Literary and Cultural Studies from the University of Barcelona. She completed a Master of Arts in Comparative Literary Studies at Goldsmiths (University of London) and has a BA in Translation and Interpreting from the Pompeu Fabra University. She has worked at several European and Catalan institutions, such as the European Institute for the Mediterranean-IEMed, and the Centre of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona-CCCB. She teaches French and literature at the Humanities Department of the Pompeu Fabra University.
