The event introduction was in charge of Conxita Amat Miralles, Vice-rector for Teaching Policy of the UB; Sergi Torner Castells, Vice-rector for Academic Planning of the UPF; Virginia Luzón Fernández, Vice-rector for Communication of the UAB; and Laura Chaqués Bonafont, Director of IBEI; who inaugurated the ceremony and welcomed all the students, their families, and also all the IBEI community including professors and staff.

The keynote speech 'New uses of Data and AI for advancing Computational Social Science and Humanities' was imparted by Mercè Crosas, Director of the Computational Social Sciences and Humanities Laboratory at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center, President of CODATA, and affiliate of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science at Harvard University.

After this lecture, Mariana Walter, Research Fellow Ramón y Cajal at IBEI; took part as a speaker to address the students, congratulating and encouraging them in their promising future after their studies at the IBEI.

IBEI students Hailey Marleau (Master’s in International Development), Gemma Roig Arsequell (Master’s in International Security) and Angie Gjika (Master’s in Public Policy), also participated by giving a speech on behalf of their classmates.

Finally, Conxita Amat Miralles, Vice-rector for Teaching Policy of the UB; Sergi Torner Castells, Vice-rector for Academic Planning of the UPF; Virginia Luzón Fernández, Vice-rector for Communication of the UAB; Laura Chaqués Bonafont, Director of IBEI; along with Jacint Jordana, President of IBEI, awarded the certificates to all IBEI graduates.

At the very end, there was an outdoor reception with some professors, family, and friends, who did not want to miss the special occasion.
