IBEI joins the Catalan Association of Research Centres (Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Recerca – ACER)
The General Assembly of the Catalan Association of Research Centres (Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Recerca - ACER), held on July 3rd, formally approved the incorporation of the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals (IBEI) as a new full member.
This incorporation represents an excellent opportunity for IBEI to actively contribute to the development and promotion of research in Catalonia. As a member of ACER, the Institute will be able to share goals and participate in joint initiatives with other research centres.
This new collaboration will allow IBEI to establish synergies, strengthen its connections within the scientific ecosystem, and continue advancing the promotion of knowledge and international research—contributing actively to the Institute’s development.
The Catalan Association of Research Centres (Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Recerca – ACER)
The Associació Catalana d’Entitats de Recerca (ACER) is a non-profit organisation that brings together around fourty research centres in Catalonia. Its mission is to represent their shared interests, foster collaboration, and improve the country’s research and innovation system.
ACER acts as a representative body before public institutions and other stakeholders in the knowledge system, promotes coordination among centres, and works to improve research conditions and funding. It also supports outreach activities, strategic reflection, and training, and helps strengthen the international presence of the Catalan research system.
With this incorporation, IBEI joins a network of excellence committed to open science, knowledge transfer, and the continuous improvement of research’s impact on society.
